Stone Jug Barbeque

The Munich Oktoberfest justly lays claim to being the world’s largest folk festival. The festival, which spans just over two weeks, is held annually in a meadow just outside Munich’s city centre. The original Oktoberfest started in October 1810 and is coming upon it's 185th celebration. Here at Stone Jug starting Thursday, we wanted to bring the tradition to you! So if you couldn't get those last minute tickets to Germany we will have plenty of good food and drinks here at The Jug! The SJB Oktoberfest Platter starts with the freshest ingredients and the best cuts of meats. Our platter will come with Smoked Bratwurst, Bockwurst, and Knockwurst, Red Cabbage with apples, bacon and onions and Spaetzle. Come in your Lederhosen for men and Dirndl (a traditional Bavarian dress with full skirt, apron and tight bodice) for women! Or Don't!!
Our soup is a creamy Corn Chowder with corn, potatoes, celery, onion, and applewood smoked bacon. This will be served with cornbread. Sure to warm you up!
Our creative drink of the week is a Pumpkin Bourbon Smash.. Try it this week!
For our homemade desserts we have a Chocolate Caramel Bar with a shortbread crust... Similiar to a Twix! Yumm...
Our Spiced Apple Bread Pudding with a Pecan caramel sauce is amazing too! Don't miss out on these special's of the week!

Who loves a good Quesadilla? Starting Thursday, October 10, I think you should give Stone Jug's a try! The SJB Quesadilla starts off with a large flour tortilla, your choice of smoked meat (chicken, pork, brisket or gulf shrimp), sauteed onions and peppers, black beans, fire roasted corn, Monterrey jack/cheddar cheese blend and then we finish it off with our Alabama White sauce and serve it with chips and homemade salsa.
This week we are serving Smoked Pork Loin and Barley soup! We are starting with a homemade stock, adding fresh vegetables, smoked and cubed pork loin and lots of barley. This will be served with cornbread on the side!
Our drink of the week is a Apple Cider Mule! We have the best mule around! Come try one for yourself!
We will be having Pecan Pie Bars for dessert along with Butterscotch Pecan Bread Pudding. Yumm!! A must have!

It's Wednesday again and it's time to reveal the specials for this week! October 3rd through the 6th starts the SJB Un-Stuffed Pepper. The Un-Stuffed Pepper starts with a bed of dirty rice made with applewood smoked bacon, hot links, peppers, onions, and seasonings, your choice of smoked pulled chicken, smoked pulled pork, smoked chopped brisket or a seafood mixture of shrimp and crawfish, topped with cheddar/jack cheese, sweet chili glaze and garnished with cilantro.
Try the Smoked Ham and Bean soup served with cornbread croutons. It will be sure to warm you up! The drink special is a Smoked Maple Old Fashion. Come try one this week!
Fall is here and we are preparing Apple Pie bars for dessert along with Classic Bread Pudding with a Bourbon Glaze.

Thursday the 26th starts our new special for the week! We are bringing back the SJB Meatball Sub! Homemade smoked meatballs in a sweet chili glaze, pepper jack cheese and pepperoncinis with peppadew aioli on a toasted hoagie served with a side of your choice.
Try a cup of our Smoked Chicken and Dumpling soup served with cornbread. This hearty soup is perfect for this time of year. The broth is loaded with veggies, smoked chicken and homemade dumplings.
The special drink is called a Scofflaw made with Rye whiskey, grenadine, lemon juice and vermouth. This was created in Paris during the prohibition.
Let's talk about our desserts this week! We are offering a Pineapple Cheesecake Blondie bar and a Raspberry Bread Pudding with a White Chocolate sauce.
